WILL SMITH WILL DESTROY NYC

Will Smith stars in Columbia Pictures' "After Earth," also starring Jaden Smith.Columbia Pictures
Can love be selfish? If it causes an entire city to detach from its underpinnings and sail across the ocean, it just might be. Deadline reports that Will Smith and director Shawn Levy are teaming up for the upcoming fantasy film, City That Sailed, which will tell the story of a New York father (Smith) whose love for his estranged daughter, living overseas, is so strong that it causes the island of Manhattan to break free from the rest of New York City and sail across the Atlantic towards her. Shawn Levy, who directed other bombastic family films like theNight of The Museum series should feel right at home with this seafaring island family flick. Writer Audrey Wells (The Game Plan,Under the Tuscan Sun) is on board as screenwriter.
While this film sounds like a funny and harmless family film about making and mending connections, one man’s reunion movie is clearly everyone else’s disaster film. What about the insane amount of damage to infrastructure and the loss of human life that would occur if Manhattan suddenly jettisoned across the Atlantic? But at least this one guy got to see his daughter again. It’s not like he could have booked a flight or anything, or (if he's low on cash) sent a nice postcard. On thing's for sure: New Yorkers are gonna be pissed when they find out ther real reason Midtown is the newest addition to the European Union.

On Wednesday, Jake Gyllenhaal was sent to a Los Angeles emergency room after punching a mirror and severely cutting his hand. Don't worry, Gyllenhaal wasn't worked up in some sort of violent spree or drug-induced rage that provoked the incident. It was just Gyllenhaal being an awesome actor.
According to a source, Gyllenhaal was on the set of his new movieNightcrawler when the incident occurred. "His character was looking into a mirror during the scene and punched the mirror in anger and broke it, cutting himself so bad he had to be taken to a hospital." The actor needed stitches but apparently is doing fine, even returning to the set the next day.

CHECK OUT THE 'HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE' TRIBUTES' DATING PROFILES

Katniss Peeta Hunger Games Catching FireLionsgate
There's no doubt about it: the Hunger Games are a grim affair. That's why we've decided that it's time to turn the impending gloom and doom of the leading men and women in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire into a more light-hearted experience. Anyone up for a look-see at the modern-day fictional dating profiles of our favorite tributes?
We know all about the despair and sadness behind the majority of the character's lives, but what about their thoughts on their ideal date or their favorite movie or what qualities they like the most about themselves? We've taken a handful of questions that contestants on ABC's The Bachelor and The Bachlorette are usually asked before each season (plus a few of our own questions) and applied them to our fighting heroes.
So check out the dating profiles of 10 of the 3rd Quarter Quell's tributes:
*Let it be noted that the only factual information in these profiles is each tribute's name, age, weapon, district, and previous Hunger Game that they competed in.

'WHAT DOES THE FOX SAY?' IS BEING INTO A CHILDREN'S BOOK

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jofNR_WkoCETvnorge/YouTube
After this winter, children across the United States will never again ask, "What does the fox say?" With the help of Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing, the Norwegian comedy duo known as Ylvis will be taking its YouTube sensation "The Fox" and converting it into an illustrated children's book, according to a press release from the publishing company.
The book, aptly titled What Does the Fox Say?, will surely be a hit among both children and fans of the video, which has garnered over 200 million views (wow) on YouTube and brought fame to brothers Vegard and Bard Ylvisaker. (The brothers have appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres ShowLate Night with Jimmy FallonThe Today Show, and have been the inspiration for a Saturday Night Live parody video.)
"We are very excited about this book," said Vegard. "It is much more than just a spin-off from the video. We actually started the process with the illustrator before we even uploaded the video to YouTube. As we were working with the song it just felt like it had the potential of becoming an interesting book as well, mostly because all of a sudden we found ourselves wondering what does the fox really say?"
Well, whether the endgame was a hit video or a kid's book, thanks to the two musically-gifted jokers, children everywhere are going to grow up thinking that foxes say: "Ring-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding! Gering-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding!" Greatest. Prank. Ever.
What Does the Fox Say? will be available in stores Dec. 10, just is time for Christmas. (Hint hint, mom.)

GEORGE CLOONEY VS. LEONARDO DICAPRIO — WHOSE SIDE ARE YOU ON?

Cinzia Camela/WENN

With his recent interview in Esquire, George Clooney has all but declared war on fellow superstar Leonardo DiCaprio. In the piece, Clooney shares some astute observations about the nature of fame and staying grounded... but what's far more interesting is the not-baseless insults he tosses DiCaprio's way — particularly when it comes to their dueling pickup basketball teams. "We're all like fifty years old, and we beat them three straight: 11–0, 11–0, 11–0. And the discrepancy between their game and how they talked about their game made me think of how important it is to have someone in your life to tell you what’s what. I’m not sure if Leo has someone like that."

5 REASONS TO WATCH 'MASTERS OF SEX' (BESIDES SEX)

When you take into account the name of the series along with the network it airs on (Showtime), it's pretty clear that Masters of Sexspends a good chunk of its run time on sex scenes – but as a die-hard Homeland/former Dexter fan/Mad Men-obsessee, I had to give it a try. Now, obviously, if you like your TV to equal sex scenes with a side order of drama, this is your show. But what if you're more interested in the drama? Don't worry, this show has plenty of that too.

Mona Scott-Young is the executive producer behind such wildly popular reality shows as Love & Hip-Hop and Chrissy & Mr. Jones. You could almost call her the mother of hip-hop reality shows. But Young now has her name behind something a little different, as she's executive producing Bravo's The New Atlanta.

LADY GAGA HOSTING 'SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE'? YES, PLEASE!

Getty

Two forces are on their way to colliding: Lady Gaga and Saturday Night Live. Gaga will be hosting the show for the first time on Nov. 16 and like two galaxies merging, it's going to create something brilliant and spectacular.

The writers for the show have to be looking to the sky and thanking whatever stroke of luck came their way. The wardrobe people will likely be up several nights in a row thinking of the most zany outfits that they can and then burning those ideas and coming up with even more bizarre things. Remember, this is a woman that felt comfortable walking around in a suit made of MEAT. No, this isn't some kind of demonic possession-speak here.. she had actual slabs of meat strategically placed around her. Thank goodness there were no big dogs around.
